In Taree now. Today I rode from Grafton up the Gwydir to Glen Innes, which runs through some truly stunning country, then down the Oxley. A long day that has left me quite stuffed. Thanks for that recommendation of the Gwydir, that was a really amazing ride and worth the long-cut. As for the Oxley, that road is truly a credit to the civil ...

Ebor is very much in the high country, high enough that it reduced Kimmy's performance a bit. There is a lovely tea room called Fusspots where many a bike will stop. Not much else!

The Grafton-Armidale road is rough and very twisty, but there is no traffic and the country is beautiful.

Day two leaving Taree early to keep ahead of the front, I stuck to the highway until Urunga then up the Waterfall Way. Coffee at Bellingen, then up the hills.  What a wonderful ride, every corner perfectly radiussed, then beautiful open country up top.  Followed a K1300s up to Ebor and had a bit of a gas bag over lunch, then back down ...
