• Re: New Pirelli Tyres

This reply is to "bradr" and "pyrah" The original Dunlops had about 8,500 km on them. Two weeks before the back tyre gave out I had to do a really drastic panic stop from about 110 kph as an old guy pulled out of a side track (he just didn't bother giving away to his right - he sat and waited for several cars to go past ...

  • New Pirelli Tyres

Hi! I have just fitted new Pirelli tyres to my Honda Forza (NSS300). The standard tyre sizes are 120/70-14 (front) and 140/70-13 (rear). Honda fits Dunlop tyres as OEM supply but I wanted to try either Pirelli or Sava tyres. It seems that Honda Australia is the only source of rear tyres in the standard size. Both Pirelli and Sava have ...

I always find that the "best maxi scooter (or any other bike)" is the one that you dream of replacing your current bike with Regards, Peter

  • Re: NEW SEAT FOR MY HONDA NSS300 FORZA

Well it's happened! I rode my Forza up to Goulburn two days ago (Wednesday, 13th August) to leave it with Mick at MJM Custom Motorbike Seats to have my bike's seat re-upholstered. I picked up the bike early this morning (Friday, 15th August) and rode back home to Batemans Bay, about 150 km. I'l post a couple of pictures then tell you ...
I am enjoying riding my new Honda Forza 300 abs scooter...
Peter, Nice to hear from another Honda Forza owner. The picture below is of my bike taken at Dalmeny near Narooma, NSW. Like you, I really love this little bike. That said, a 500 cc motor and a little more leg-room would not go astray. I ...

  • Re: Sydney "We Ride COZ We Can" Sun July 20

Gosh! That Suzuki Burgman looks nice with the short sports screen. One of the reasons I purchased my Honda Forza was for the short screen (I had owned a Honda SilverWing in a past life). The Suzuki seat is like my Forza with the "big bun rest". I am having my Forza's seat reupholstered by MJM in Goulburn in a few weeks time to ...
And yes - they use chain drive.
I have a feeling that the BMW scooters also use a chain drive as did the first model Yamaha TMax. Chains are very efficient and an excelent choice if they are fully enclosed. Modern chains are much easier to live with than the old fashioned ones; I remember having the clean ...
"Hi all", I decided to buy a Honda Forza 300
Peter, Congratulations! I have had my Black Forza for almost 12 months. I agree with all your reasons for buying the bike. I live in Batemans Bay on the south coast of NSW. I use the bike for around town riding and for weekly Ulysses rides up and ...
... but having the seat fixed IS relatively easy. I have taken the "bum support" off the bike and sure enough the extra space makes a huge difference in comfort levels. I have not tried this set-up on a long ride yet but will do so next week.
I havn't got the seat done yet (waiting for the ...

  • NEW SEAT FOR MY HONDA NSS300 FORZA

Hi! I really like my scooter except for two things: It would be really (really...) nice with a bit more go, especially for long steep hills. A 500cc single would have made all the difference. I find the seat just a bit cramped for riding other than pottering around town - a slightly longer seat would be nice. Well, its a bit beyond me to ...
