• Re: Rusty GTS 250 exhaust pipe

So I have gone with option 2. I have a jettin pipe that I picked up off MikeB and have started to mod my scooter. Meeting up with Mike was good value, he took me in to look at his GTS 300. Not only did I pick up the pipe but he threw in a couple of extras like heavier bar end weights. I was full of confidence when I picked it up and headed ...

  • Re: My new Fly (Piaggio Fly 150)

Good write up. I can't wait to hear how the mods go. I had a fly for a year and it went well up to 90km/h and my commute was around 70km round trip. There is another guy in this forum who is making mods to a fly. He recently put a PM pipe on from memory. Good luck with the fly.

The rear is almost new by the look. It was a good idea, though. I'm looking into the Jettin as the best option at the moment.
is it the clip that keeps the chrome bits from touching?
If you are talking about the ones that go around one bar, then no. I maybe assuming that all Vespa's have that clip. Mine didn't orginally but the sales guy gave me one out of a pack. It looks like a C and can clip around 2 ...
not a fan of top boxes. if the plastic bits are broken then need to take it back.
It's not the box or plate that is broken, but the rubber or plastic bit that holds the chrome rack either in the down or up position that has broken. I have rung scooter central and I'm waiting to ...

I'm becoming a pain. Is this the right gasket? Do you have a preferred shop to get it? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VESPA-GTS-250-and-GTV-EXHAUST-PIPE-SILENCER-GASKET-/280680688361?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4159df6ae9

I've done a ride south once. It doesn't get out of your system. Lets face it Noc you are addicted. It is better to except it and deal with the consequences.

Thanks both of you. I've had a look at it being removed on youtube and agree the clamp looks the way to go. I'll start looking for a spare gasket now. Apart from the spanner and that funny looking star screw, what else would I need? Do a need a torque spanner when putting the nuts back on? Any pitfalls that I should look out ...

  • Rusty GTS 250 exhaust pipe

Hi, I have a rusty exhaust pipe and I'm looking for solutions. 1. Live with it. 2. After market exhaust (not sure I can afford it. I guy I was talking to thought that it moved away from the Vespa look as well). Yes Pete I have looked at those Jettin pipes, to many colour options. What would I choose? 3. Same guy suggested using a ...
