• Piagio Fly 150 - small engine hose

hi, my scoot was sitting for 10 months and wouldn't start. so i took the main big air hose off the carby and sprayed some fuel in and it started no problems. Problem is some of the hose to the carby were a bit brittle at the connection so i had to cut the fuel line and re attach as it was pissing fuel. that fixed that problem. immediately to ...

• Re: Service cost

yeah not sure I buy all that. labour yes but everything else is smaller scale than a regular garage. most scoot workshops are also at the rear of a retail shop so the rent is shared. parts are also smaller and cheaper. if a scoot shop is servicing 8 scoots a day at $220 that is $1760 in revenue less say $300 in parts (at cost) less salary ($300 a ...

hi, I just got a quote from a couple of scoot shops in Perth, one came in at $190 and one at $220. why is it so expensive ? a new car capped yearly service is now circa $250 and my scoot is pushing that. im getting the impression they can charge that as not a lot of shops here.

ok just an update. all turned out well. the scoot was left parked up for 18 months, battery disconnected and about 1L left in the tank. Battery was flat and needed a top up. Fuel still visble in the tank and smelt ok. Tyres flatish. So had to jump start the scoot. Took about 5 minutes to get fuel through the carby but it eventually fired no ...
• Re: restart

• restart

Hi, my scooter has been in storage for about a year and a half. I disconnected the battery. Any advice for start up. Will the oil be ok still ? How about the tyres etc. Unfortunately it is going stright to interstate transport so I will have to ride it it before I get it serviced. So any advice welcome.
