  • Bolwell/SYM Firenze

Ive ridden scooters and motor bikes all over the world for 45 years BUT......... Ive NEVER felt so uneasy on anything as this Bolwell/Sym Firnze I have. The front end seems terribly light. Slightest little variation in the road makes the bike swereve to the point of having to grip the handlebars very...
  • Derbi GP1 Racing 250i (2009) for sale (VIC) - $6500

It's going to be hard to let this scooter go, but will have to as I'm planning to be out of Australia in a few months. This 2009 model has seen just over 10,000kms, and has been a highly reliable, efficient workhorse getting me through a 50km round-trip freeway commute everyday, with enough power...

  • MP3 Range

Hi all, After this weeks cold and wet wether and the slippery slide feel of my Yamaha Cygnus I've decided to start taking other scoots for a test rides as I'm planning an upgrade and high on my agenda is the MP3. I'm leaning to the 400 because everywhere in the Illawarra is connected with...

Have you checked with your local Council? I have also asked @ shopping ctrs, car dealers, tyre repair places (they often have accessable ppoints outside), pretty much anywhere I ride. I just tell them it will cost maybe 30-40 cents for a couple hours. Most say OK. I also usually leave some brochures...

  • Had first lesson

Wow, had my first lesson this morning (to get 250cc license). Was great! Wasn't nervous at all which is great! Will probably be a different story when I do one on a PX200 though! gears to change! And of course I'll be sweating during my test too! yikes! Can't wait to get on my own PX200....
  • Re: Vectrix Maxi-Scooter

[quote user="apex"]Great to read all your posts, as I'm thinking this will be my next buy. I have one question - How much did you pay in insurance? Do you think it was comparable to what you might pay for a petrol 250cc or do you think you paid more because of the higher price of the Vectrix...

  • Re: Vectrix Maxi-Scooter-weight

Yes, it's AC.Just plug into a normal pwr pt. At the moment it's easier to carry an extension cord. A battery with 150-200 km range would be my ideal at the moment. UK have plug in stops now. It's only a matter of time.

The reverse on the scooter comes in VERY handy when parking & manouvering. And they have to come out with a lighter and more efficient lithium-ion battery or something even better. I notice they are now making electric dirt bikes. They are great on the racing circuit - more efficient - no shifting...
